The 4th Annual Florida Cracker Oyster Festival was held in September 2007. 250 guests enjoyed Florida and Louisiana cuisine with entertainment provided by Bird Dog Bobby and the Honey Hounds. The Florida Cracker Oyster Festival celebrates the bygone age of long hot summer days when family and friends came together for weekend gatherings to share food, music and good times. These times still exist at the Florida Cracker Oyster Festival.

This festival which is a fund raiser for the Isle Of Pines Property Owners Association was held April 19th, 2008 at the Isle Of Pines Archie Miller Park on Lake Mary Jane across from Moss Park. This event sold out January 15, 2008 in less than 11 hours.

Next years event will be April 18, 2009 with tickets going on sale January 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM.

"THE PORCHDOGS".
The Porchdogs Specialize in Louisiana-Style Cajun and Zydeco Music. At this year's festival they will be performing with their full 6-pc band.They also perform various other styles including bluegrass and old time fiddle music, classic rock, and Island music. They have been performing for 10 years at cajun and bluegrass festivals across the country, as well as regular appearances at Florida attractions, conventions, and theme parks. The group has appeared every year at Ft Lauderdale Cajun/ Zydeco festival, the nation's largest.
